The only other one that I can think of that might be nicer is, incidentally, also located in Norway - it is called Bastoy, and it is truly remarkable in its own right. 

Really makes you rethink the perceived brutality of Norway…black metal isn’t everything, apparently. That part saddens me a little. 

Oh, and also, Halden features artwork by Dolk Lundgren, who I’ve since learned is a Norwegian street artist. He was paid, or it cost Halden, $1,000,000.00. That’s right. A man renowned for his criminal acts (graffiti, etc) is now a millionaire in thanks to Norway’s penal system. Interesting!
